This is a short “lab” and writing assignment that requires access to eCompanion.

A Myers-Briggs style personality test is available for download in the Doc Sharing section of the eCompanion. It is in the format of an Excel spreadsheet.

1. Please take the test and save the resulting spreadsheet. It will take about 5-10 minutes to complete the test.

1. Once you complete the test, your results will be shown on the second tab of the spread sheet (labeled Results). There is no “correct” answer!

1. Write an essay discussing the test and what you think of it. Include responses to following questions. Justify your responses.

1. What profile did you receive? Do you agree? Do you think this test is a reliable indicator of your personality type? Why or why not?

2. Do you think this test is a valid indicator of job performance or suitability for a particular job? Why or why not?

3. How can this type of test be used to improve personal relationships in business?

4. Include the results with the essay. Include JUST THE RESULTS page. You do not need to send the test questions with your essay.

5. The essay should be about 1 ½ to 2 pages of text (This does not include Title and Reference page.)

1. This is not intended as a research project, but be sure that any research sources are properly referenced either in footnotes or endnotes.
