Discuss whether you believe a company can survive reputational damage as a consequence of allegations that it “greenwashed” its products or services, rather than truly committing to a sustainable or green business practice. Explain. Should a company that “greenwashes” its products or services (e.g. cleaning up its image but not its environmental practices) be penalized by our legal system? Why or why not?

Identify what you believe to be the primary reason why a particular company’s environmental initiative might fail. Identify the company and the initiative that you are addressing. How might this hurdle be overcome?
