By now, everyone in class should be getting a feel for some of the differences between being a consumer of healthcare and being a provider of healthcare services. As future healthcare managers or providers, it is important to be able to explain these differences.

Discuss examples of ways in which healthcare services are financed in your area:

1. Describe the healthcare financing from the perspective of the consumer, 
2. Explain financing from perspective of the healthcare administration, and 
3. Identify how the lack of financing for healthcare for underserved populations in the community may affect the local economy.
