• The Research Paper Final must be a minimum of 5 pages and no more than 7 pages in length in APA format. The research should use critical works, not a summary of the book or chapter. The FINAL paper will be evaluated on the following:                                                                                            1. Understanding Japanese literary tradition, civilization and modernity. 

                2. Demonstration of analytical skills and creative thinking

                3. Use of concrete examples

                4. Minimum of 3 scholarly sources, properly cited

                5. Effective organization
