Mardi Gras Essay

Mardi Gras is a community carnival with religious roots.  Research and Explain its origins and pay particular attention to why its date moves each year.  Why is Mardi Gras on the same day of the week but on a different date in the month each year?  Write up to three pages for up to 50 points extra credit.
