I am pretty sure it would be awkward for a person in another culture not to know the customs of another country. For example when dining in China it is best to avoid taking the last item of food from a serving platter because it sends the message to the host you are still hungry.  I would probably send the wrong message to a host in China, because I would be guilty of taking the last serving.

What are your thoughts on this?
