- Review pp. 93–96 in the course text, Extraordinary Board Leadership. Consider the importance and benefits of setting board performance targets and the ways in which a board can take action to assess its own performance in achieving these targets.
- Reflect on specific board roles and responsibilities and consider the impacts/consequences if a board evaluation does not take place.
- Consider the difference in approach that might be taken when evaluating the board as a whole vs. each individual member’s performance.
With these thoughts in mind:
Post by Day 4 an analysis of the importance of evaluating board performance. Identify 3–4 impacts or consequences that might result if an evaluation is not conducted. Use specific examples.
