Original Post: Discuss the origins, development, and ideas of black feminism. How is it different from, or similar to, white feminism? The American Life": The Problem We All Live With, Part I
New York City schools are the most segregated in the nation. This trend shows up in northern and urban centers all over the country, and American schools are more segregated by race today than they were in the late 1960s.
So, why can’t we rid our nation of segregation and race-based school resource gaps?
"This American Life" is known for it’s in-depth storytelling-style reporting on major issues. They’ve done very good work on schools, housing, and segregation. Journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones points to her studies and reporting to explore these ideas.
