• As a high-level manager of a growing company about to go global, over the next seven weeks, you will conduct a comprehensive case study that evaluates the organizational behavior of one of your competitors. Your competitor has already “gone global”, and senior management wants an analysis of the strengths and weakness it exhibits in the following aspects:
  • Hiring, training, and performance evaluation
  • Groups or teams (including virtual workgroups)
  • Organizational decision making
  • Internal, external, and cross-cultural communication
  • Political influence
  • Reward systems
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Motivation
  • Organizational change
• For this comprehensive case study, you must:
  • Select a business that is:
  • Global in span
  • That you have a personal interest in
  • That you currently purchase from, or whose services you use (e.g., Coca Cola, Motorola, Exxon).
  • Research the aspects of the company listed in the role play scenario above and answer the following questions:
  • What is the organization’s mission and vision?
  • What role does each aspect listed above play in attaining the company’s organizational goals (i.e., mission and vision)?
  • How would you describe the organizational structure and organizational culture of the company?
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the organization’s behavior.
• Share your research with your superiors and propose and propose suggestions for how your fictional company should structure its policies in light of your analysis of your competitor.

Write a paper of approximately 750 words in which you address the following components:

• Select a multinational business that you have a personal interest in, that you currently purchase from, or whose services you use (e.g., Coca Cola, Motorola, Exxon).
  • Why did you choose the business?
• Research the aspects of the company that have been covered in this week’s content and answer the following questions:
  • What is the organization’s mission and vision?
  • How do you think the organization’s mission and vision impact the organizational culture?
  • How would you describe the diversity that exists or does not exist within the business?
• Review the West Writing Rubric, which will be used to grade this assignment.
• Format your paper using West Writing Style Handbook guidelines.
• Include a minimum of two sources, which may consist of readings from the University Library, your text, and other selections such as Web sites.
