Historical Visit

Choose from one of the historical sites listed below to write a short paper. The paper should be a minimum of two double spaced pages in length. Make sure you address the following in your paper:

• Provide a brief background on the place you visited
• What was your impression of the site?
• In what ways are historic sites good tools to study history? Why?
• How did the site you visited complement the content you studied in this class (or any other history course)?

• Colonial Williamsburg
• Fort Monroe
• Mariner's Museum (with emphasis on the Battle of Hampton Roads)
• Hampton History Museum
• Virginia War Museum
