I would have to agree with H.G. Wells about Statistical thinking it is almost as important as critical thinking.  When i hear people say they are top in their class or best in class I always think to myself.... compare to what? For example if someone says they were top 10 in their class, you might think that is quite an accomplishment but then you find out there are only 10 people in their class that is not very good at all. Statistical thinking can help a person analysis the fact and decipher if something is good or not.
