Being a scientist is about appreciating the work by others, but also remain constructively critical, proposing experiments and projects that might address alternative hypotheses to explain the observations made.

For instance: In figure 1 (attached) the authors see that the levels of mRNA for alpha and beta are equivalent in the various cell types where they looked, from which they conclude that these proteins are similarly expressed in those cells. Do you fully agree? Figure 1B shows that, indeed, genes that have CEBP binding sites can be expressed in these cells. But... could there be any alternative explanations for the same experimental results?

Discuss it within your groups, and propose your alternative explanation(s). There is no ONE right answer, but the better that you defend/support your argument, the more points you can get.
