EXAM DATE & TIME: DATE: April 25, 2013 (Thursday) TIME DURATION: 12:00 Noon Central Time to 6:00 p.m. Central Time POINT ALLOCATION: A total of 100 points. EXAM ADMINISTRATION: Open books and notes No discussion among students ACADEMIC HONESTY POLICY: Murray State University takes seriously its moral and educational obligation to maintain high standards of academic honesty and ethical behavior. Instructors are expected to evaluate students’ academic achievements accurately, as well as ascertain that work submitted by students is authentic and the result of their own efforts, and consistent with established academic standards. Students are obligated to respect and abide by the basic standards of personal and professional integrity. See the class syllabus for details. LATE SUBMISSION: You are given ample enough time (6 hours) to complete your exam. Consequently, the penalty for lateness will be severe. There will be a penalty of 10 points out of a possible 100 points for a completed exam that is submitted in the first hour after the due date and time. Any exams submitted late after the first hour of the due date will not be accepted and graded, and it will receive a grade of zero. There will be no exceptions. So, please be careful. EXAM POSTING & SUBMISSION: a) The exam will be open notes and open books. The bane of an open-book exam is that it lulls a person into some kind of complacency. An open-book exam does not mean that you should not prepare for the exam in advance. If you keep flipping pages of the book to find the answer to every single question on the exam, the time will run out before you even know it! It has happened in the past. b) The exam will be placed in the EXAM area on Blackboard and made available to you on the designated date and time. c) You will download the exam from the Blackboard’s EXAM area to your local computer to work on it.
