Evidence- Based Design

You feel strongly that you should use evidence-based design for your building or renovation project, but many of your stakeholders are unsure about this approach, mostly due to lack of knowledge about this issue. You decide to write a letter to them, explaining evidence-based design and giving them perspective on how it fits into the changing landscape of health care facility planning and design.

Write a 750- to 1,050-word letter to your stakeholders in which you do the following:

• Summarize the history of health care facility design. Emphasize major changes and approaches.
• Describe the use of evidence-based design in health care facility planning.
• Explain why you believe that evidence-based design is important for your specific facility project.
