Ethics, Reading Assignment

Assignment: Read Chapter 4 in your textbook. (This is not an extra assignment. You should have had this chapter read before Monday’s class anyway.) Once you have read the chapter, watch the 62-minute film Not Business as Usual. After viewing the film, write a one page, typed paper in 12 pt. type in which you discuss the following:

According to Chapter 4, what are some of the criticisms of a capitalistic economic system? What good things, according to the film, can be accomplished by capitalist businesses? Use specific examples from the textbook and the film.
