 I would like you to review the following film version of The Running Man:

After watching the film, please  answer the following questions in a minimum 2-page, Times New Roman, double spaced document.

• Why would Hollywood change the plot of the movie from the book so drastically?  What is gained?  What is lost?   Think about the audiences for each.
• How is the movie a reflection of 80’s thinking, culture, hopes and fears?  
• Why is the dystopian gameshow a trope?   How does it speak to some of the dystopian themes that we have discussed in class?  Consider other such examples (Hunger Games, etc.).
