Conditional Probability, Mean ,Median ,Standard Deviation, Percentile, Range, Collectively Exhaustive, Mutually Exclusive ,Union of Events, Intersection of Events, Skew, Statistical Dependence or Independence, Normal Distribution, Z-Score, Empirical rule, Chebyshev’s Theorem.

1. What weapons are most often used in the commission of crime? 2. How long do people in the U.S live? Is there a difference between longevity based on age, gender, and race? What demographics have the longest life span? 3. How many abortions occur each year? Do race, age, and income influence the likelihood of having an abortion? 4. What are the murder rates for the five most populous regions in the US? 5. How does educational attainment vary across states? Is the variation the same for primary, secondary, and college? What proportion of the population has a bachelor’s degree? 6. What are the odds of being a victim of a burglary, auto theft, or robbery in the US? Would my odds change if I owned a home and/or a car? 7. Using Education or Crime data from the same sources, identify at least two questions of interest to you and generate the necessary statistics from the list above along with at least two graphical illustrations supporting your answers. This is your creative license questions and the one you will be asked to present to the class (10 minutes to present so plan accordingly).
