Processors and Their Characteristics
Assume that you are an information technology (IT) consultant at an organization that creates high-resolution graphics and videos for an advertising company. Your organization wants to replace its old computers with new, improved ones. Your manager assigns you the task of studying the latest Intel and AMD processors and making a recommendation that is feasible and suits the organization's requirements.
Using the Internet and ITT Tech Virtual Library, gather information on the following:
- The latest Intel and AMD processors available
- Characteristics of these processors
Based on the information collected by you, answer the following questions:
- Which processor would you recommend for high-resolution graphics and video? Why?
- If a 1 GHz processor is replaced by a 2 GHz processor, do all programs execute twice as fast?
