Given the evidence that inidcate fit police officers manage stress more effectively and with fewer side effects than non fit people, do you support a mandatory fitness level for law enforcement? Would that mandatory fitness level be supported by the legislation you learned about in the human resources chapter? Should that standard be different based on the task or rank? For example, some people feel that it is not reasonable to expect the chief of police to engage in a foot pursuit, and therefor that rank's fitness level does not need to be as high as a SWAT officers.
