Creative writing week 10:One Short Poem

After studying the assigned reading in your textbook for this week, try your hand at writing either a limerick or a traditional haiku on a subject of your choice. 

Try to practice what you have been studying: precise detail, natural language, emotion, similes, metaphors, and symbols.  Remember that both limericks and haiku have set forms, so you'll want to be sure to conform to those, as well.
