Communication Breakdowns

Keep a log of various communication breakdowns or misinterpretations that occur during this week, especially in an organizational setting or where new technologies are being used. This may be as simple as an email that was misinterpreted, or as complex as a meeting - in person or on the phone - where participants were misunderstanding each other. Include in your log any conversations you have with others - family members, co-workers, etc. - who tell you about communication breakdowns at home, work, or school. (If by the end of the week, you have not recorded too many communication breakdowns, feel free to log in experiences from past weeks or refer to examples in magazines or newspapers.)

Write a one-page analysis of communication breakdowns by applying “The Communication Process Model”. Try and diagnose precisely where in the model a few of the breakdowns occurred.
