Formulas are equations you use to solve numerical problems in Excel and usually auto fill other cells. On the other hand, functions are operations in order to make formulas successful. For these scenarios, I would use a formula to make sure the percentages and other information are valid. I would also use functions to calculate the formulas properly.

Personally, “a Formula” is an Excel tool that can be used to facilitate the calculation of values or data in a specific cell, whiles “Function” is a predefined formula that performs a calculation. We can also use the “Function tool” to break down complex calculations through by using the dialog boxes and ScreenTips such as to enable us to select the values in the formula so that the necessary calculation can be performed or carryout easily. In order to make a calculation for the first problem, I personally believe that the “If “function tool is literally the most fitting/appropriate one that can be utilized to justify the calculation.
