Climate of Openness
Shortell and Kaluzny describe a climate of openness as a place where "information flows freely, people can express their views, and decision making takes advantage of multiple perspectives." In your opinion, why should managers work to create a climate of openness? What are the benefits? In what kinds of environments is this the most difficult to do? Why?
