Chapter 4

The objective of this short writing exercise is to clearly identify and narrow down a hypothetical but realistic work-related problem. You will also state the purpose of a proposed analytical report designed to effectively address the problem. Use the following format: 

1. Problem Statement - identify a significant problem (two sentences)
2. Problem Question - narrow down the problem (one sentence)
3. Purpose Statement - "bring focus and perspective [to] what the report is meant to accomplish." (one sentence) p.354 (Meyer)

Aim to ensure the three components can easily be understood by the average reader, i.e. one would not need to be an expert in your particular field. 

Use 'Reply' to provide feedback (#1) to one of your classmates by asking a one sentence clarification question about either the 'scope', 'limitations', or 'importance' of their proposed report.  Only one question should be directed at each student's post, so select a submission to which nobody else has yet responded.   Also using 'Reply', this question should then be answered in a single but thorough sentence by the author of the original post -- feedback (#2).  The due date for feedback question #1 is 5 pm, Friday, June 10.  The deadline for feedback response #2 is 5 pm, Monday, June 17.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
