Mary Beth Johnson has worked for Raxis Corporation for the past seven years. Due to her productivity, she has received several job promotions. Mary Beth is a hard worker, is well educated, and has a wealth of experience. She recently discovered that there was an opening in the Global Services division at her company. Eager to advance within the company, she applied for the new position. Unfortunately, Mary Beth was not offered the job. She spoke with her manager about not getting the position. Her manager told her not to worry about it because "women typically do not get hired for international positions." |
