Select one of the following scenarios: 

• You are in charge of expanding an existing grocery store by adding a new convenience store and gas station business unit.
• You are in charge of adding a new department to a mall anchor.
• You are in charge of adding a fast food deli chain restaurant to an existing retail outlet.
• You are opening a fashion boutique in the local mall.
• You are in charge of opening a Post-Exchange (PX) next to a commissary on a military base.
• You are in charge of opening a new location for a luxury auto-dealership that is expanding into economy cars. 

Use the internet, the University Library, personal interviews, or other resources to survey attrition rates among retail employees for your selected industry. Be sure to investigate the employee retention rates at the industry, retail category, and job level.

Create a 6- to 10-slide Microsoft^® PowerPoint^® presentation, with speaker notes, in which you address the following: 

• Comment on whether attrition rates in the retail industry are higher than other industries and explain why.
• Forecast the staffing requirements. Consider peak periods and customer service expectations. 
• Identify where you will look to find qualified applicants. 
• Explain how you will match people with the staffing requirements based on personal characteristics, work experience, objectives, and skill sets. 

Note. The presentation should only include key points while the speaker notes should include details about the plan and act as your voice for the presentation.

Format your presentations consistent with APA guidelines.
