Big Data

Find a case study or article about a business that has been benefited from using big data to generate more profit or customer base. What kinds of data is collected, and what strategies are applied to connect and make sense of the information?

If you cannot find one example, think of a retailer/vendor that you are familiar with (ex: Costco, Giant, A/E, Amazon, etc.) and descrilbe what kind of data you have provided to the business as a customer, and what do you think they have used the information for? Do you think the data they collect is useful? Have you seen anything come out of the data that you provided to them? Do you think the business is doing a good job with the data, why or why not.
