After reading Napoleon Johnson's thread regarding Julius Erving celebrity endorsement of Converse Allstars, I also was influenced in the same manner regarding this product. As a former athlete myself, and a huge NBA basketball fan, I can remember when those shoes were heavily marketed. Matter of fact, people used to call them Dr. J's instead of Converse All Stars. As being a fan of Julius Erving who was not only one the greatest basketball players of all time, but also an elder statesmen who was very professional and like able so it was easy to be influenced to buy that shoe.
