In your own words:

1. Discuss the pros and cons of the major technologies used in:

a. The knowledge creation and capture phase.

b. The knowledge-sharing and dissemination phase.

c. The knowledge acquisition and application phase.

2. Data mining technologies can be used on a number of different types of

   knowledge content. What are the major categories, and what sorts of

   patterns would this technology detect?

3. Describe an application of blog technology within an organization.

   What potential benefits would accrue to the individual, the community

   of practice, and the organization as a whole if blogs were implemented?

LA2

1. Describe some of the ways in which unstructured content may be

    managed. Do standards exist? What are some best practices in the management

    of the useful life cycle of knowledge content?

2. How would you categorize the different forms of groupware or collaboration

   technologies? What sort of criteria would you make use of in

   order to determine when and where each type would be the best means

   of sharing and disseminating knowledge? How would you adopt a cost benefit

   approach to such a technology selection decision?

Elaborate using critical  thought, analysis and application of concepts.

Select at least one resource, not used in class (not a dictionary, not an encyclopedia,or not a Wiki source) to augment your ideas in the response.
