Select 8-10 technology platforms for eCommerce to evaluate for scalability for a small business to determine potential for use with future business growth. Create a spreadsheet to evaluate each on the basis of architecture for scalability, flexibility, large scale processing, systems reliability for large scale content and media, monitoring and back up tools, disaster recovery capability, eCommerce scalability for check out pipeline and recommendation engine for eCommerce website. Rank each based on individual application’s scalability, disaster recovery, business continuity, data storage space, and cost effectiveness.
Utilize Google Doc for the narrative components and a Google Sheet for the evaluation.
- In a document, describe the small business that wants to employ eCommerce (1 -2 pages).
- A description of the company, its clients and products or services.
- A description of the current technology being used for commerce.
- A description of the desired features of eCommerce solutions.
- In a sheet with rows and columns, identify 8 – 10 technology eCommerce platforms that would meet their needs.
- In column A, give the name of the platform.
- In column B, provide a hot link to the platform.
- In column C, provide a summary of the monthly or annual costs.
- In column D – K, provide a 3-4 sentence description and evaluation of the following areas.
