Something to DISCUSS - Vitamin and Mineral Supplementation
Chapters 9, 10, 12, and 13 focus on vitamins and minerals. Ideally, these nutrients should come from food. However, sometimes supplementation with a multivitamin or specific vitamin/mineral is necessary or recommended. As a consumer, it’s important to be aware of the claims that supplement companies make so that you can make wise choices. Read at least one of the following articles and summarize specific things that you learn or find surprising. Be sure to designate which article(s) you get your information from. You may use additional resources as well.
