Assignment 2: Multiprocessing or Multithreading

Scenario:

You are in a heated debate with two colleagues with highly technical backgrounds about the merits of multitasking and multithreading, and whether the Mac OS or the Windows OS does these tasks better. You need to determine which OS handles which task better and then present your findings to your colleagues.

Instructions:

·         Evaluate multithreading and multiprocessing and how it affects the computer as well as the software integration.

·         Compare and contrast multithreading and multiprocessing.

·         Identify which operating system (Mac or Windows) performs these tasks better.

Be sure to support your opinion with at least three scholarly sources, including your textbook. Your response should be at least 3 pages in length and written in a clear, concise, and organized manner. Your response should demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources (i.e. APA); and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
