• 1.  Research major mergers (American Companies) over the past year.
• 2.  Select a merger for further discussion.
• 3.  Answer the following questions in reference to the merger you selected to discuss:

1. a)  Describe the merger you researched.
2. b)  What was the motivation behind the transaction?
3. c)  Were the companies in the same industry? Geography?
4. d)  Was it a friendly or hostile transaction?
