Introduction

TMA Question:

Taking the AOU as a model of organization. Carry out the STEP components at this organization, and discuss how AOU influence and influenced by its environment.

Students are required to analyse the STEP components and the subcategories for each component, and to reflect to AOU as an organization, how it uses its environment to success and survive.

General instructions for students:

·         Use E-Library - Minimum 2 sources from e-library (journal articles)

• You can either choose environment or economic, one of them!
• Answers (of course you have to add more to some to balance the word count):

Social:

-          Adds value to students by providing education

-          Provide jobs

-          Take part in events, charities, so on

-          Career day

-          Training and development for employees

Technological:

-          E-learning

Political:

-          Headquarters of the university is in another country

-          Rules of ministry of education are different in each country

Environmental:

-          Take part in events such as beach cleanup or walkathons for cancer charity, or things like pollution and so on

Economic:

-          It is a non-profit organization

-          Inflation

-          Energy prices

-          How rise in petrol price effected costs
