Hi, I have an "Anthropology Culture and Medicine: Healers and Healing" class assignment needs help.

Our own medical culture-Western biomedicine-has its own unique set of cultural features, values, and practices.  For this week analyze your experience with medical doctors  hospitals from an anthropological perspective.  How is the clinic/hospital/doctor's office a unique culture?  What sorts of practices have you experienced there and what does it say about medical/clinical culture?  Given what we have learned so far and read so far do you think medical culture should change how it handles people's bodies and health?  What impact would that change make?
