Behaviorist psychology
This is a part of psychology that holds that behaviors are usually learned through positive and negative reinforcements. It states that good behaviors are usually encouraged by positive reinforcements while the negative behaviors discouraged through negative reinforcements. The main role of behaviorists is that they provide an avenue where people know how to encourage good behaviors and how to discourage the wrong ones (DK Pub 2012).
Cognitive psychology
It is one of the branches of psychology that deals with the study of different mental processes such as the attention, memory, perception, problem-solving, creativity, and also thinking. Much of the work from this branch of psychology has been effectively integrated into the various and different other modern disciplines such as the social psychology, the educational psychology, developmental psychology and economics among others (DK Pub 2012).
Humanistic psychology
It is a branch of psychology that usually helps the clients to gain the belief that all human beings are inherently good. It usually adopts a holistic approach to the existence of human beings and pays special attention to the phenomena such as creativity, positive human potential and free will (DK Pub 2012). It usually encourages viewing of us as a whole person that is greater than the sum of our parts and also encourages the aspects of self-exploration instead of the study of behavior in other people. It acknowledges that spiritual aspiration as a part that is integral in the human psyche. It is also connected to the emerging field of the transpersonal psychology.
Social psychology
It is the scientific study of how the people’s feeling, thought and behaviors are influenced by the actual, imagined or even the presence of others. The statement that shows that the presence of other people may be imagined or implied suggests that people are prone to the social influence even in the situation where there are no people present (DK Pub 2012).

Contribution of two individuals in the field of social psychology
Henry Floyd Allport is considered to be the founder of the experimental social psychology. He emphasized much on the measurement and even published a book to popularize his ideas on the application of social psychology. The other person is Gordon William, who is the younger brother to Henry Floyd. He did a great research on the attitudes, religion, prejudice, rumor transmission among others in the field of social psychology.

Theory can be defined as a set of principles on which the practice of activities is usually based.

The theory usually provides a framework that can be used in the process of coming up with different assessment criteria. It also offers some brief principles that guide the assessment of health care (DK Pub 2012).

Theory can help in shaping the advocacy and the public safety by providing the different framework that can be followed in dealing with advocacy and public safety.
