Muscle Strength and Its Development in Adults

Introduction

This paper presents a research on muscle development among the adult in the society that is stable. It seeks to establish it facts by carrying out data collection and analysis of the same information. The paper has an introduction that covers the summary of two journals that highlights the development of adults. It is from these articles that my research obtains it scope and variables to be covered.

Muscle definition

Muscle refers to the soft tissue of the body that is responsible movement. It is a collection of cells that plays a major role in the contraction and relaxing in order to achieve the function of the muscles (Hawley, 28 April 2009). Human beings are made up of many trillions of cells and it is the responsibility of these cells to control the normal functioning of a human body. Development refers to slow but steady changes that occur to these cells over time. The process is irreversible since once the muscles cell develop they can just die and not redevelop. On the other hand, strength refers to the degree of physiological capability of an individual to handle a task based on the size of the muscles.

Justification of the topic

The choice for this topic was based on this fascinating aspect of development that varied among human being. From my analysis, not all human being will have the same size and compaction in the muscles. There are a number of factors that determine this kind of development that prompted me to pick on the topic. The fact that the topic covers that biological aspect of musclesmakes my topic practical oriented and involving in terms of carrying to experiment to obtain facts and figures.

Journal analysis

Sport prostheses and prosthetic adaptations for the upper and lower limb amputees: an overview of peer reviewed literature

Sport prostheses are associated with the working of the both upper limb and the lower limb of the amputee. There has been none of peer reviewed content elaborating this field in the previous published literature. Although this article covers the morphological changes that assist the amputees during exercise. The nervous system also plays major role in determining the growth of muscle by coordinating the development of muscles and the brain cells(Sport prostheses and prosthetic adaptations for the upper and lower limb amputees: an overview of peer reviewed literature, 2012).

Molecular responses to strength and endurance training: Are they incompatible?

This journal investigates in its entirety the extent to which the muscles are specialized for the sake of strength during the training activities. One can develop muscles by carrying out physical activity that are aimed at changing the fat content and the general body mass .The main activity considered by the researcher is that of sports. It was found out that it was a remarkable way of building muscles.

A detailed description of how to measure the topic covered

The topic can be measured and evaluated by identifying the dependable variable that can be easily studied. According to the first article, muscles can be classified into two for the study to be precise and clear(Hawley, 28 April 2009). It includes the leg and the arm muscles. These can now be formulated to data collection questions from the identified population. The area of study should be maintained in order to avoid contradiction of the data collected.

Cross sectional design verses longitudinal design

During my research, I will use the cross sectional design to obtain my data. This method is the most appropriate in the sense that it can provide a trend of change covering the muscle development amongst the adults. Making comparison of adults of different age and in different time of the year will help me rule out chance of contradiction in my research. Furthermore, it will help me address the drawbacks that my research is likely to face. Simultaneous analysis of the chosen subjects is important and it facilitates the process of making close comparison (Sport prostheses and prosthetic adaptations for the upper and lower limb amputees: an overview of peer reviewed literature, 2012). This method is always associated with less bias therefore making it suitable for my research. Longitudinal design deals with different individualat the same time, which will not be suitable for my research paper. The individuals studied are adults between the ages of 18 to 65 years old.

Prediction of expectation of the research

My description of the expected result of the study is that muscle development is based on the lifestyle and habit of the individual as oppose to age being used as a determinant of the growth of muscles. It is clear from the data obtained that the individual who have good eating habits and visit the gym, have well developed muscles. On the other hand, individual who do not feed well are observed to have poorly developed bodies.

Effects of parental molding of the children and their identity

The identity of the children is affected by the influence of their parent since they are the once who raise and mold the children to their desired character (Hawley, 28 April 2009). Children when subjected to certain condition and environment, tend to adapt to it by developing means of survival which will later be their sense ofbelonging. Children should be trained based on one identity and given time to nurture their future based on the field. Identity of individual can shift with the environment and condition of the environment and not with age.

Conclusion

In conclusion, muscle development varies from on individual to another due to the conditions in which an individual is raised. It is evident from the data that individual raised in different environmental conditions have varied sizes of the muscles. This is attributed to differences in food, exercises given to the body and the genetic composition. For example a person participating in sport will not be the same as that individual who is working in an office. Adults between the age of 18 and 28 have well developed muscle as oppose to the older generation. It is due to the fact that the aging adult does not have adequate time to visit fit ness centers. Similarly, this group of adult has good feeding habits and generally active. Furthermore, analysis show that sporting individual have well developed muscles due to the activeness of their body muscles. The genetics of the adult varies significantly leading to variation in muscle size.
